Why I became a therapist
I was inspired to become a therapist by a deep curiosity about how people heal and reconnect—with themselves and with those they love. I’ve seen how transformative it can be to feel truly seen and understood, and I wanted to create that same kind of space for others.
Why I love this work
I love the privilege of sitting with people in their most honest moments — helping them find language for what’s hard and tools for what’s possible. It’s an honor to witness resilience take shape.
Who I’m most drawn to supporting
I love supporting adults who are exploring attachment patterns, healing from religious trauma, or moving through major life transitions. I’m also passionate about working with parents of teens who self-harm — helping them rebuild trust and connection through understanding and compassion.
My therapy style (and how I balance warmth & accountability)
My approach is relational and grounded in compassion. I want you to feel safe enough to slow down, notice what’s really going on, and begin to make sense of your experiences in a way that feels healing and empowering.
Clients often describe me as calm, compassionate, and safe. I balance warmth and accountability by meeting clients with empathy first. Once safety and trust are established, I invite honest reflection and gentle challenge — helping clients take small, meaningful steps toward growth without shame or pressure.
Approaches & modalities I use
My work is grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care. I integrate:
EMDR
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Parts work & inner child work
Experiential approaches
These help clients process difficult experiences and strengthen emotional connection within themselves and their relationships.
How we’ll begin
In our first few sessions, I focus on creating a sense of safety and understanding. We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life, what you’d like to get out of therapy, and what approaches might fit best for you. Those early sessions are about building a foundation of trust and clarity so we can move forward in a way that feels supportive and effective.
What therapy with me feels like
Clients often describe me as calm, curious, and grounding. They say they feel secure enough to explore what’s beneath the surface while also feeling supported throughout the process. I hold space for deep work but also bring warmth and lightness when it’s needed. I like to slow things down so clients can feel safe enough to notice what’s happening inside and explore it with curiosity and compassion.
What helps people heal
I believe people heal through safety, connection, and curiosity. When we feel safe enough to face what’s been painful — and supported enough not to face it alone — healing becomes possible. Over time, that process can lead to deeper understanding, self-compassion, and more authentic connection with others.
What I hope you take with you
I hope clients take away a felt sense of safety, clarity, and self-compassion. I want them to know that healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about understanding their story, reclaiming their voice, and finding new ways to connect with themselves and others.
